How to split multiple parts

Lesson four: We’ve broken down all our helpful guides into individual sections so you can find everything you need with ease.

Know what you need? Let's start your quote.

Let's begin...

If your drawing has more than one part, you will have to split these into separate parts in order to add these to a quote.

Click the ‘Extract’ button. You will be able to draw a box around the part you want to extract. This will create a blue dotted line around the part you want to produce.

Step two...

Once you have selected your shape, click on the ‘Extract’ button.

The selected part will then flash if it is successfully selected. Right-click the selected part and click ‘Extract as new part’

Nearly there...

A pop-up box will appear – you can re-name your part if you want to upload more than one part from the same drawing. Then click ‘Extract’.

The parts should be successfully uploaded and a green tick will appear in the status box at the left of the window.

Select which drawings you wish to export by ticking the boxes.

Alternatively, you can click ‘Delete’ item and draw a box round any items you don’t need, then right click ‘Delete items’

Once you have deleted all the unnecessary parts/information from the drawing, the panel on the left-hand side on the screen should have a green tick under status.

Click ‘Send good drawings to quote’ to export the drawings to the quote.

You can continue to view your quote → Turn your quote into an order.
