How to upload multiple parts

Lesson three: We’ve broken down all our helpful guides into individual sections so you can find everything you need with ease.

Prefer videos? Not to worry we have that too!

Know what you need? Let's start your quote.

Let's begin...

If your drawing has more than one part, you can upload them and Drawing Doctor will split them for you.

Upload your drawing so it has been loaded into the program. The status on the left of the screen will appear showing the drawings are invalid/have errors.

Click ‘Extract all parts’

Step two...

This pop up will appear. Tick ‘Add part position to notes when sent to quote’ → Click ‘Extract’.Complete the remaining fields as appropriate to your file type.

All parts will be separated and should have a green tick.

Nearly there...

You can edit the file name, material, grade, thickness and quantity from the task bar.

Once all files have been amended click ‘Apply changes’ → ‘Send good drawings to quote’ to export the drawings to the quote.

All parts should now appear in the quote as separate line items.

You can continue to view your quote → Turn your quote into an order.

If your file has lots of detailed part, a border or writing then this option will not work. If you try to extract all of the parts, the program will separate all lines which may create multiple errors as displayed below.

If this occurs, it will be necessary to split the parts manually.

All done!
