Errors within Drawing Doctor

Unfortunately, some issues may not be manually fixed within the drawing doctor and will need to be externally rectified and your drawings reviewed before importing them back into ipLaser.

Your drawing needs to be as clean as possible. Please ensure only the flat profile is visible and lines, such as dimensions/text, aren’t touching cutting lines.

If the drawing is not suitable, you may be presented with the below errors and your file will not be uploaded and Drawing Doctor will not open.

Note that ipLaser does not accept files with any bending on them. 

Step two...

If these errors occur, the drawing cannot be used in it’s current state. It will need amending externally before re-attempting to upload to ipLaser.

If this error occurs, the file will need to be re-sized. It may be necessary to split parts into different drawings to reduce the file size before uploading to ipLaser.

 

If the file can be opened in Drawing Doctor, this pop up box will appear. Click ‘Yes’ to enter Drawing Doctor.

If you have any highlighted issues within the drawing doctor, these will show here:

Try to amend your drawing to see if this resolves the issues.

Drawing Doctor will show you where the issues are but it is not currently possible to fix these in the program. If you receive any of these errors on your files, it will be necessary to correct these externally before trying to upload the files again.

Once the files have been corrected, they can be added to your quote.
