ShapeMate is a useful tool for when you don’t have a suitable file to upload. It allows you to select pre-loaded parts that you can adjust the dimensions to suit from an array of designs ready for quoting.
Create a new quote and click ‘Tools’ → ‘ShapeMate’.
Select the required parts from the side menu. Select the most similar shape for your design, you will be able to edit the dimensions of the parts in the next step.
Edit the dimensions, material, grade, thickness, and quantity from the menu below and check that you are happy with the overall profile of the shape.
Text can also be added to the part for etching. Click ‘+’ in the text box. Enter the text and size required in the fields below, Click the ‘tick’ to submit. You will be able to see your text appear on your shape. Adjust the X and Y axis until you are happy with the etching placement.
This will then appear on the part in the desired location. Note that you should leave a minimum of 1mm gap from the etching so it isn’t too close to an edge cutting line.
A part name must be entered to add the part to a quote – this is for your reference only. The part name should be unique from any other parts you have created before.
Click ‘Send part to quote’ This will send your newly created shape to your quote. You can either select more parts or click ‘Exit ShapeMate’ which will return you to your quote. You can then continue with the quote to order.
